Your weekly newsletter for news, events, and happenings at Pipestone Indoor Country club.

Hello Michiana Golfers!

Those few warm days of spring do a lot to lower our tolerance for cold weather. The crew at Pipestone is ready for some outdoor golf! We have a lot of new stuff planned for Pipestone Creek GC, as the weather continues to heat up, and we hope you come out and see what the buzz is all about. We will open PCGC on April 1st. Turning back to the indoor shop, there are still a lot of exciting happenings including an affordable way to freshen up your set of clubs, an event with the PGA, and some shifting in management responsibilities! Remember, we will switch to 24hr advanced appointments only on May 1st, coinciding with the slowdown of the indoor golf season.

Hit them true,

The Crew at PICC

Community Longest Drive presented by the 2022 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship

We are very excited that the The PGA of America announced the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship Community Long Drive Contest will take place at Pipestone Indoor Country Club on April 6th from 4:30p-7:30p EST. This event will be open to the public, with no purchase or sign up necessary. Door prizes will be available and there will be prizes for the longest drive in 4 different categories (Men, Women, Youth (12 and under), and Seniors (65+)). Evelyn Mae's Barbeque Food Truck and 5 of the Makers from the Maker's Trail will be on hand for the event, so bring an empty stomach and curious palate! Don't forget your driver!

Regrip your clubs!

We are now offering regripping services at PICC. It's a great way to freshen up your set for the upcoming season without investing in all new clubs. Gripping services are $3 per club, if grips are purchased through us, or $5 per club, if you bring your own. Our grip prices are set competitively with market pricing. We have a limited selection of grips in stock, and are able to order most that are available at other stores. If you are interested in getting your clubs regripped, the process is simple; drop your clubs off, choose which grips you want, and pick them up the next day! If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.

Changing to Advanced Appointment-Only

With the warmer weather comes the slowdown at PICC. This year we will continue to maintain our hours of 8a-Midnight every day over the course of the summer with the caveat that appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. This allows us to ensure that our customers can still golf during the standard hours of operation with proper notice. When PICC is not busy, this allows us to focus our energy on other projects away from the shop, such as those at Pipestone Creek Golf Course! 24 hour advanced appointments will start Sunday, May 1st and are expected to run through the end of August. Reoccurring appointments are still a great option for those looking for consistent practice time.

Management Shifts

In response to the increased duties brought on by assuming ownership of Pipestone Creek Golf Course, management will have the following areas of focus going forward. Dustin Lester will be Operations Manager, and will have his hands on operations of both venues with a priority of day to day operations of Pipestone Indoor and a focus on business administration and development. Justin Lindemann will be Manager of Golf Operations handling most of the front of house duties, customer service operations, and league and event management at Pipestone Creek GC. Adam Lester will be Course Superintendent for PCGC focusing on grounds improvement projects and keeping the grass green and clean! Please direct you questions and inquiries accordingly. Of course, all three of us wear many hats and will continue to be involved in areas outside of our primary focus.
